EPR- EXTENDED PRODUCER RESPONSIBILITY

It is the responsibility of the manufacturers to ensure eco-friendly management of the waste produced during the manufacturing process. Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO), incorporates the EPR through the establishments of collection centres, in collaboration with the original equipment manufacturers and also ensures innocuous disposition with approved recyclers.

According to the e-waste (management) rules 2016, it is compulsory for all bulk consumers, manufacturers and producers of all electronics and electronic machinery to take up their EPR seriously and ensure responsible recycling.
